Certificate in Theology Course Fees
Fees are kept as low as possible, but as the Department of External Studies is funded entirely by fees, these must cover costs. For this reason we emphasise that our notes are copyright and only available to students enrolled in the course. Under no circumstances can they be transferred from one student to another or photocopied.
Enrolment fees for 2008 (amounts in Australian Dollars):
• $80 - Enrolment in a new subject
• $120 - Husband and wife using same notes
• $47 - Concession rate*
• $42 - Re-enrolment in same subject**
Postage fees apply for international students. Please view our airmail rates and include the appropriate fees on your enrolment form.
Please note that study notes will not be dispatched until correct payment has been made.
*Concession Rate
We offer concession rates for people in difficult economic circumstances (eg, unemployed people, pensioners, MTS workers, full-time students, inmates, and overseas missionaries). When applying students need to supply proof for the type of concession that they are seeking by filling out a concession application form. Students who do not fall under one of the listed categories, but who are experiencing financial hardship and are seeking special consideration for the concession rate, should include a letter addressed to the manager of External Studies explaining their situation.
**Re-enrolment in same subject
A re-enrolment fee applies if you wish to re-sit the exam for a subject which you have previously enrolled in. For example, if you enrolled in Doctrine 1 in Term 2, 2007, but did not sit the exam or have failed the exam and now wish to re-sit the exam in Term 1, 2008, you will need to re-enrol in Doctrine 1 and pay the re-enrolment fee.
Donations
Students who can easily afford the costs may wish to consider making a donation so the department can build up a reserve of funds to meet hardship requests. Advertising is a significant cost for us, and you can also help by recommending the course to friends.
