Diploma of Biblical Studies Syllabus

The syllabus is provided for the information of students. Lecturers may make some changes within the syllabus according to their own interests and expertise. This means that the actual outline for each unit will be provided at the first lecture. It should be noted that the topics listed for each unit do not give an indication of either the number of lectures or relative importance of each topic. That information will be provided in the course outline at the beginning of the term.

Recommended reading has been included to allow students who wish to do some reading before lectures begin to obtain helpful books. In general, these will be the basic texts for each unit, but lecturers may make their own recommendations. Students may save themselves some expense by waiting until the first lecture before buying any books. During the term other books may be recommended either for the assignment or for those who wish to pursue the unit in more depth.

There are no prerequisites for any unit. For example, New Testament 1(S) does not have to be completed before New Testament 2(E).
